Marina High School Unveils New Gymnasium Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening – November 16

Marina, CA – The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District and Marina High School proudly present the unveiling of its new gymnasium during a grand opening and ribbon cutting event on Saturday, November 16 at 1 p.m. at Marina High School located at 294 Patton Parkway, Marina, CA. In partnership with the City of Marina Recreation Department, the grand opening/ribbon cutting will feature the Marina High School Cadet Corps, drumline, cheerleaders, scholar athletes, student leadership, face painting, bounce house(s), and food for sale.

 

“This is an exciting time for Marina High School,” said PK Diffenbaugh, Superintendent, Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. “This gym has been a long time coming and brings together the Marina community. Our students deserve this facility as we know that athletics and extracurricular activities enhance the learning experience.”

 

“It’s a great day for Marina High School and the City of Marina,” said Principal Rebecca Tyson. “When the school first opened in 2006, the Marina High Gym was just a vision. It is wonderful to see the dream of many of our school and community members come to fruition.”
