SUMMER MEALS ARE IN WHEN SCHOOL IS OUT AT MPUSD
Monterey, CA – This summer, children and teens across the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District can enjoy free, nutritious lunches through the district’s 2025 Summer Meal Program. The program is open to all youth ages 1 to 18, with no enrollment, paperwork, or income verification required. Families are welcome to drop in with their children and no advance registration is necessary.
Lunches will be provided at multiple school and community locations throughout the summer. Please note: No meals will be served on June 19 (Juneteenth) or July 4 (Independence Day).
“Many of our MPUSD families count on school meals as a dependable source of nutrition throughout the year,” said Micha James, Director of Nutrition Services. “Summer should be no different. Our goal is to ensure that every child continues to have access to healthy, nourishing meals even when school is out because consistent access to food supports their well-being, growth, and readiness to learn.”
