Boys Baseball and Girls Softball Teams in City Parade

Monterey, CA - The community will celebrate Monterey High School’s boys baseball and girls softball teams in a parade in downtown Monterey on Thursday, June 16 beginning at 4 p.m. The celebration honors both teams for their recent athletic accomplishments.

The boys baseball team are the CCS Division III champs and the girls softball team are CCS Division II champs, and they won the CIF NorCal Regional Softball Division IV title.

This is an incredible accomplishment for both teams. A banner across Alvarado Street has been published and hung in their honor for the next two weeks.

The parade route will begin at Monterey High School, down Madison Street, onto Alvarado Street, and up Del Monte and back onto Calle Principal.

Members of the boys baseball and girls softball teams will participate either by foot or in vehicles. The school’s band, cheerleaders and others will also participate.
