On Veterans Day, Monterey Peninsula Unified School District joins communities across the nation in honoring the men and women who have served in the United States Armed Forces.

We recognize the courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment of our veterans and express our sincere gratitude for their service to our country.

As a district serving a proud military-connected community, Veterans Day holds special meaning for many of our students, families and staff. We are grateful for the veterans within our MPUSD family and for the military families whose service and sacrifices are an important part of our community.

Veterans Day also provides an opportunity to reflect on the importance of service, citizenship and the freedoms we enjoy, while helping our students understand and appreciate the contributions of those who have served.

In observance of Veterans Day, all MPUSD schools and district offices will be closed on Wednesday, November 11, 2026.

To all who have served, we thank you and honor you today and every day.
