MPUSD Recognizes National Homeless Youth Awareness Month

November is National Homeless Youth Awareness Month, a time to recognize the challenges faced by young people experiencing homelessness and the importance of ensuring every student has access to education, support and opportunities to succeed.
At Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, we believe every person matters. We are committed to creating welcoming, supportive school communities where every student feels valued and has the opportunity to learn and thrive.
Experiencing homelessness or being unhoused can create barriers to consistent school attendance, academic progress and access to essential resources. By working together with families, school staff and community partners, we can help students navigate these challenges and connect with the support they need.
National Homeless Youth Awareness Month is a reminder that every student deserves stability, understanding and the opportunity to reach their full potential.
At MPUSD, we're better together.
