MPUSD 2026–27 45-Day Budget Revision

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Board of Trustees will receive an update on the district's 2026 – 2027 45-Day Budget Revision, reflecting changes resulting from California's recently adopted State Budget. The 45-Day Revision is a standard budget update that allows school districts to incorporate new state funding and other significant budget developments after the state budget is finalized.
The revision includes approximately $3.8 million in additional state funding, primarily through:
- Increased Local Control Funding Formula (LCFF) funding, including support related to paid pregnancy disability leave;
- The Student Support and Professional Development Discretionary Block Grant; and
- Additional Special Education funding.
The Board presentation also highlighted the restoration of Learning Recovery Emergency Block Grant funding and other state investments that support student services and district operations. These updates ensure the District's budget accurately reflects the final State Budget and current funding available to support students and schools during the 2026–27 fiscal year.
