Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing
Dear Parents, Staff and Community Partners,
Welcome to the 2016-2017 school year!
My name is Mary Beth Meyer, I am Hard of Hearing myself and a 15 year teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing. This includes students from birth to 21 years of age. I am very knowledgeable on the usage of Cochlear Implants, hearing aids and sign language ( both ASL and SEE). I am here to ensure that your child has everything from an interpreter to ASL aides to self-advocating all which will allow them to become a successful student in their classroom setting. I will make sure that all staff members are aware of the child’s needs and will provide any necessary support to the staff.
Collaboration from parents, staff and the community partners is very important to us as the website will give you access to variety resources and information that will help you and allow your child to grow to become a successful adult in today’s society.
Please feel free to explore the website and contact me if you have any concers, questions about your child’s education.
Thank you
