“I am a California native and attended public schools for the entirety of my education. I began my career as an oceanographer but now find great purpose and fulfillment as a marine science librarian. I am a parent to two kids, one at Monte Vista Elementary and one still in preschool. With two kids coming through our public school system, I am committed to being actively engaged in supporting this district.

I am an active listener, a quick learner, and curious by nature. My strong commitment to free and equitable access to information directly informs my perspective on the importance of providing high-quality public education to all children. In all of my work and collaboration, I value transparency, honesty, and pragmatism. As a Board member, I would be dedicated to understanding the needs of our diverse community and to translating those needs into actions we could take at District and school levels as we strive to continuously improve.”
