My wife Jennifer and I have lived in Marina since 1994. We have two sons, Joshua and Jerry, who attended Marina Del Mar and Crumpton Elementary Schools, Los Arboles Middle School, and Seaside High School. Over the past several years I have served as President of a PTO, President of Seaside High PTSA, President of the Twentieth District PTA, and on the California State PTA Board of Managers, California State PTA Community Concerns Commission, and the California State PTA Finance Commission. I have also served as the Treasurer for the Twentieth District PTA, as Commissioner for Marina Coast Water District Water Conservation Commission (Vice Chair), and on the MPUSD Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee (CBOC). I have provided training for PTA officers, which has included in-depth financial and fiduciary responsibility training, as well as offering leadership and membership mentoring. As an expert in conflict resolution, I have acted as an arbitrator and negotiator at both site and administrative levels. Most importantly as a parent and very active community member, I know that at the heart of it all, members of a Board of Education must believe unequivocally in the value of public education, and be dedicated to serving and teaching all children.
