Gabriel Sanders

Gabriel Sanders brings to the MPUSD Board of Education a deep commitment to student success, community engagement, and forward‐looking leadership. With a strong foundation in educational and professional development, Gabriel is dedicated to ensuring all students in our district have the support, opportunity, and resources they need to thrive.

During his tenure, Gabriel has prioritized partnerships with families, educators and community stakeholders to elevate teaching and learning, foster equity and inclusion, and maintain fiscal responsibility in service of our children. His passion for young people and for the Monterey Peninsula underscores everything he does, from advocating for innovative programs to supporting safe, welcoming school environments.

Gabriel believes in building bridges — connecting schools with families, business and community partners to enrich the experiences of our students, strengthen our schools, and honor the past while shaping the future. As we continue our work under the MPUSD “Way,” Gabriel remains committed to a service mindset, powerful teaching and learning, and encouraging everyone in our community to learn something new every day.
