Certificated Substitute Teacher Daily Sub Rate
Substitute teachers are vital for the day-to-day success of all students in MPUSD. As a sub, your efforts are critical in ensuring that continuity in the classroom exists. We appreciate your dedication and willingness to serve as a substitute teacher.

General Substitute Teacher Pool
- Daily Rate (Full Day) $200/day
- Daily Rate (Half day) $100/day
- Long Term Rate (Full Day) $250/day
- Long Term Rate (Half Day) $125
(Begins on the 11th day of service in the same assignment. Requires additional responsibilities, including grading, lesson planning, attendance at staff meetings, back-to-school nights, etc.)
Service Bonus
- After serving 50 days in one school year - $500 Bonus
- After serving 100 days in one school year - Additional $500 Bonus
Honoring our Retirees (board approved 12/18/18) (board approved 8/10/2021)
(only MPUSD retirees are eligible)
- Daily Rate $225/day
- Long Term Tier 1 (11- + days) $270/day
(Requires additional responsibilities, including: grading, lesson planning, attendance at staff meetings, back to school nights, etc.)
- After serving 50 days in one school year - $500 Bonus
- After serving 100 days in one school year - Additional $500 Bonus
