Engagement of students, parents, staff and community members is important to MPUSD. We want to hear how our schools, and the district, are doing to involve and engage you in educating students. Your input is valuable as we align our goals and financial resources in our Local Control Accountability Plan and new Extended Learning Opportunities Grant Plan.

COVID-19 Vaccine Available for MPUSD Students

All-In Monterey County partnered with CAPrx to make vaccinations available to MPUSD students 16 years & older at Seaside High on Wednesday, April 14 from 2 - 6 p.m.

Parents will have the opportunity to speak directly to a pharmacist and address any concerns. Parent/Guardian/Adult MUST be present in order for 16 and 17 year olds to receive the vaccine.

Parent consent form required in order for student to receive the vaccine. This message was sent to high school families via ParentSquare.

Classes of 2021 Graduation

The Classes of 2021 from Central Coast High, Marina High, Monterey High, Seaside High and Monterey Adult School will graduate on Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at WeatherTech Raceway in Laguna Seca. Details from each school site will soon follow to all graduating students.

Monterey High Students Place in 2021 MCOE Science & Engineering Fair

In late March, a team of dedicated Monterey High student scientists were recognized with a plethora of 2021 Monterey County Office of Education Science & Engineering Fair awards. Notably, the MHS team swept the Biology category with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place wins. Also, Rithik Bhushan was one of just two students countywide to qualify for the International Science & Engineering Fair.

2021 Monterey County History Day Winners

Congratulations to our LAMS scholars who challenged themselves by entering the 2021 Monterey County National History Day competition, sponsored by the Lyceum of Monterey county.  This was the 31st annual competition and the first virtual edition.  All Monterey County winners are eligible to advance to the California state level competition, held in May.  The National History Day theme this year was Communication in History:  The Key to Understanding.
