Notice of Intention to Convey A Utility Easement to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO CONVEY

A UTILITY EASEMENT TO THE

PACIFIC GAS AND ELECTRIC COMPANY

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of Trustees of the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District (“District”) has, by resolution adopted by the Governing Board on January 13, 2026, declared its intent to convey a public utility easement to the Pacific Gas and Electric Company (“PG&E”), pursuant to the authority of California Education Code sections 17556, et seq.  Copies of the resolution of intent to convey are available upon request.

The District owns property located at Seaside Middle School 999 Coe Ave, Seaside CA, 93955, currently designated as Assessor’s Parcel Number 031-051-006.  As part of an accommodation to the permanent exclusive utility easement previously granted by the District to the California-American Water Company (“Cal-Am”) PG&E has requested to allow PG&E access to the Easement Area to maintain the pad-mounted interrupter.  The property to be conveyed by District to PG&E consists of a public utility easement to serve this purpose.

The Governing Board will consider approval of this conveyance to PG&E following a public hearing at its January 27, 2026, Board meeting.  The public hearing will be held at 6:30 p.m. or as soon thereafter as the matter can be heard in the District Services Center located at 540 Canyon Del Rey Blvd. in Del Rey Oaks in Monterey, California.
