Celebrating National Robotics Week: Igniting STEM Passion in MPUSD

It's National Robotics Week - April 6 - 13, 2024. This fantastic celebration inspires students of all ages to dive into the exciting world of robotics and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

In the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, we're proud to announce that our schools are buzzing with the energy of robotics! From elementary to high school, we're fostering a passion for innovation, creativity, and problem-solving.

Recently, students from Monterey High School and Seaside High School competed in the 2024 FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Monterey High’s team, Robodores (4255) consists of 20 students ranging from freshmen to seniors and Seaside High’s team, BayBots (4171) consists of 15 students also ranging from freshmen to seniors.

Our students are not just learning about robots; they're building them, coding them, and unleashing their imaginations to create the robots of tomorrow. National Robotics Week is the perfect time to highlight the incredible work happening in our classrooms, labs, and robotics clubs.

Robotics isn't just about robots; it's about preparing our students for the future. By delving into the world of robotics, our students are gaining invaluable skills in teamwork, critical thinking, and technological literacy - skills that will serve them well in any career they choose.

Join us in appreciating and recognizing MPUSD teachers and staff who are guiding our students on this exciting journey. Their passion for STEM education is shaping the minds of future engineers, scientists, and tech leaders.
