Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Announcement of Intent to Fill One or More Vacancies on the Citizens Oversight Committee and Application Information

Applications are requested from community members to a fill vacant seats on the COC as follows: 

 
  • A member shall be both a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the district and active in a parent-teacher organization, such as the P.T.A. or school site council. 
 
  • A member active shall be in a senior citizen’s organization.
 
  •  A member shall be a parent or guardian of a child enrolled in the district. 
 
  • A member of the community at-large.
 

To be qualified to serve as a member on the Committee, such person must be at least eighteen (18) years of age. Preference will be given to those who reside within the District’s geographic boundary, in accordance with Government Code Section 1020. The Committee may not include any employee, official of the District or any vendor, contractor or consultant of the District. 

 

The application process includes the application with submental questions. All appointments will be made by the Board of Trustees from applications submitted to the District. The application can be obtained from the office of the Associate Superintendent of Business Services, located at 700 Pacific Street Room #1 , Monterey, CA 93940 between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the District’s website, http://www.mpusd.net or by contacting Heidi Lizarbe, Administrative Assistant to the Associate Superintendent of Business Services at (831) 645-1269. 

 

All applications must be on file at the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District office no later than, Friday, March 15, 2024 by 4:00 p.m.
