Local CSEA chapter donates gift cards to MPUSD students in need

For the past 15 years, Monterey JC Crumpton Chapter 93 of the California School Employees Association, has donated toys and gift cards for our students with the greatest need.

Our chapter is made up of  about 600 classified employees that range from food service workers, custodial staff, bus drivers, clerical staff, and other support staff.

For the last several years, the chapter has been donating gift cards so that MPUSD Homeless Liaison Carlos Diaz can help those families in need throughout the year.

Jesse Tamayo, Past President for CSEA Chapter 93, presented Mr. Diaz with the chapter's contribution for this year. He did it representing the chapter leadership and chapter.

"Mr. Diaz, on behalf of CSEA Monterey JC Crumpton Chapter 93, we would like to present to you these gift cards that will help our families in need," Tamayo said.

The cards ranged from Walmart, Target, and Grocery Outlet, so that the families can have the option to buy food or clothing.

Thank you Mr. Diaz to you and your team for all that you do for our families!
