NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING OF THE
MONTEREY PENINSULA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT
RESOLUTION REGARDING SUFFICIENCY OF INSTRUCTIONAL MATERIALS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
Notice is hereby given that the Board of Trustees (“Board”) of the Monterey-Peninsula Unified School District (“District”) at its regular meeting to be held on August 24, 2021, will hold a Public Hearing and consider adopting a resolution regarding sufficiency of instructional materials for the purposes of Education Code Section 60119(c).
The governing board shall hold a public hearing and shall make a determination through a resolution, as to whether each pupil in the District has, or will have prior to the end of the second month of school, sufficient textbooks or instructional materials that are consistent with the content and cycles of the curriculum framework and are aligned to the content standards adopted pursuant to Education Code Section 60605 in the four core subjects adopted by the State Board of Education (Mathematics, Science, History/Social Studies, English/Language Arts, including the English language development component of an adopted program), and is herein incorporated by reference, and is also posted on the District’s website at www.mpusd.net .
The August 24th meeting of the District will begin at 6:30 p.m. located at the District Services Center (DSC) Board Room, 540 Canyon Del Rey, Del Rey Oaks, California. These matters will be considered at such time as this agenda item is considered by the Board of the District.
