Every October, National Principals Month is an opportunity to acknowledge and praise the leadership of school principals.

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District is proud to recognize National Special Education Day on December 2, 2024.

On November 8, 2024, MPUSD will celebrate National STEM/STEAM Day, a day dedicated to sparking students' curiosity and encouraging them to explore the boundless possibilities of STEM/STEAM education.

During the 2024-2025 school year, MPUSD is offering the YouthTruth survey for students, teachers and staff, and parents and guardians from September 30 - November 1, 2024.

Tuesday, October 22, 2024, is Federal Survey Day for our military-connected families in the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. We still need assistance in completing a card for our military-connected families.

November marks National Homeless Youth Awareness Month and an opportunity to educate the community about youth experiencing homelessness particularly in the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District.

Students in grades transitional kindergarten through 6th grade at six MPUSD schools will receive free dental care in mid October.

MPUSD offers short-term independent study when students are planning to be absent one to up to 15 days a school year. Advance notice is required.

MPUSD prioritizes the safety and well-being of all students and staff. This year, the district and its school sites will participate in the California Shakeout Earthquake Drill.

In the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, we praise our 35 drivers and Transportation staff members for the work they do daily to transport students safety to and from school, athletics, activities and field trips.
