MPUSD Invites Community to Public Hearing on 2026 - 2027 LCAP and Budget

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District invites students, families, staff, and community members to attend a public hearing on the proposed 2026 - 2027 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and district budget.

The LCAP serves as a roadmap for how MPUSD invests resources to support student success, with a particular focus on services and programs for English learners, low-income students, foster youth, and students experiencing homelessness. The proposed budget reflects the district's priorities and investments in teaching and learning, student support services, safety, attendance, and positive school culture.

Community members are encouraged to review the proposed documents and provide input during the public hearing before final adoption by the Board of Education.

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education will hold a public hearing on June 9, 2026, on its 2026-2027 budget and Local Control Accountability Plan.

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education will hold a public hearing on June 9, 2026, during open session at 6:30 p.m. on its 2026-2027 budget and Local Control Accountability Plan. The public is invited to attend the public hearing and provide input during the public comment section at MPUSD's District Services Center located at 540 Canyon Del Rey in Monterey. The meeting will also be available live on AMP-TV or via Zoom (and public comment can be made via Zoom). Following the public hearing, the Board will consider final adoption at its Board of Education meeting on June 23, 2026. Open session begins at 6:30 p.m.
