Celebrating 21 Remarkable Retirees: Honoring a Legacy of Dedication, Service, and Excellence

Each year, Monterey Peninsula Unified School District takes time to recognize a very special group of employees, those who are closing one chapter and beginning another through retirement.

Retirement marks more than the end of a career. It reflects years, and often decades, of dedication, service, and commitment to students, families, and the broader school community. It represents early mornings, late nights, school events, countless lessons, problem-solving, mentorship, and the everyday moments that make a lasting difference in the lives of children.

This year, MPUSD proudly honors 21 retirees whose collective service has helped shape our schools and strengthen our district. From classrooms to cafeterias, buses to libraries, counseling offices to maintenance yards, each retiree has played an important role in supporting student success and creating welcoming learning environments across our campuses.

Their impact reaches far beyond job titles. They have built relationships, created traditions, supported generations of families, and contributed to the strong foundation that makes MPUSD what it is today.

Retirement is both a celebration and a moment of reflection. While we will miss their knowledge, leadership, and daily presence, we are grateful for the legacy they leave behind and excited for the new adventures ahead of them.

On behalf of the Board of Education, Superintendent PK Diffenbaugh, and the entire MPUSD community, we extend our deepest gratitude and congratulations to our 2026 retirees.

Please join us in celebrating the following employees for their years of dedicated service and wishing them a joyful and well-deserved retirement.
