The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Board of Education approved the districtwide school calendars for the 2024-2025 and 2025-2026 school years at their meeting on December 12, 2023.
Approval of the calendars follows discussion and negotiation with MPUSD's labor union partners, the JC Crumpton California School Employees Association and Monterey Bay Teachers Association.
The calendars may be found on the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District’s website at the.mpusd.net/calendar. Note that the district will also update the calendars to include specific dates, such as parent/teacher/student conference dates, testing, and other scheduling related to elementary, TK-8, and high schools. The more specific calendar will be available soon.
Highlights of the 2024-2025 school calendar include:
- First Day of School: August 7, 2024
- Fall Break: October 7 - 11, 2024
- Thanksgiving Break: November 25-29, 2024
- Winter Break: December 23, 2024 - January 7, 2025
- Spring Break: March 17 - 28, 2025
- Last Day of School: June 6, 2025

- Fall Break: October 6-10, 2025
- Thanksgiving Break: November 24-28, 2025
- Winter Break: December 22, 2025 - January 6, 2026
