To honor the work and important of special education in our community, MPUSD is recognizing Saturday, December 2, 2023 as National Special Education Day.
This is the selected day at the national level, as it ties into the anniversary of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act, first signed into law on November 29, 1975.
Students who are served by our special education programs are supported by more than 80 teachers, 60 service providers, and 130 classroom support staff in schools across our district.
National Special Education Day is also an opportunity to honor their work and commitment to serving the needs of all our students.
