Monterey High School students perform in annual AMP "Multifaceted" Winter Festival

 
 
Students, teachers and staff at Monterey High School enjoyed a spirited evening of activities at this year's MHS/CTE AMP Academy "Multifaceted" Winter Festival on Thursday, December 2.
 
Choir students performed traditional holiday songs, including African spirituals and Jewish Hanukkah songs under the direction of MHS Chorale Director Chuck Fleming.
 
MHS Digital Arts/AMP Academy Instructor Martha Tonkin reports hundreds of students, family members and staff participated in the event under brightly-lit vendor tents.
 
The festival was developed by AMP Academy Director Lauren McMercury in partnership with Fleming, MPUSD Visual and Performing Arts Coordinator Jaqui Hope, CTE Director Lisa Glick, Asst. Supt. Secondary Education Beth Wodecki, Superintendent P.K. Diffenbaugh, along with MHS/AMP Administrators and Staff including Principal Tom Newton, Assistant Principals Xavier Rodriguez and Chelsea Warner, AMP Counselor Richee Stubblefield and more.
