This week, we have been notified from our partners Heal 360, that the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Funding for uninsured participants has stopped funding for COVID-19 testing effective March 22, 2022, and for COVID-19 vaccinations effective April 5, 2022, due to insufficient funding. For reference, approximately 90 percent of COVID testing centers across the country are being closed due to these changes.
Effective Monday, March 28, this will have an impact on MPUSD’s COVID-19 testing center for participants. The testing center located at our Cabrillo Family Resource Center/Monterey Adult School at 1295 La Salle Avenue in Seaside, CA, will continue its regular days/hours of operation; however the following changes will be made:
Insured Participants
For those visitors who have health insurance, please bring your health insurance card or information to the testing center. Your health insurance will be processed for testing. You may also re-register with Heal 360 and input your health insurance into the system to expedite the process when you arrive at the testing center.
Uninsured Participants
For those visitors who do not have health insurance, the following charges will apply:
- $55 for PCR test
- $55 for Rapid Antigen test
- $100 for both tests
