Teacher Mentorship

We at the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District know that if we are on our way to becoming one of the finest public school systems in the country that serves ALL students well, and engages each student in deep learning that prepares them to solve the challenges of the 21st century, we must recruit and retain high quality teachers. To this end, we understand the importance of recruiting and training the highest quality teacher mentors in our district to ensure that every new teacher is supported by a highly effective mentor who is trained in adult learning theory and instructional coaching that promotes diversity, equity, and inclusion.
