2018-19 First Semester Student Board Members
Kiara Valdez - Central Coast High School
Central Coast High School Kiara Valdez
Kiara is 16 years old and lives with her mom, stepdad, her older brother, younger sister. Although she only lives with two of her siblings, she has 5 older brothers, 1 older sister, and one younger sister. There are 8 kids in total. 

She is currently a senior at Central Coast High School. She has been attending Central Coast High School since the beginning of January 2018. Her original comprehensive high school is Seaside High which she is planning on transferring back the second semester and graduating from there in June of 2019.

Her current hobbies consist of playing soccer, running, drawing, and listening to music. She also enjoys her free time since she gets to hang out with her boyfriend. Her boyfriend is an amazing person and a good influence on her. He is a current student at MPC and will soon transfer to CSUMB.

She is currently employed at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel Valley as a housekeeper. Making sure our members, our guests' rooms and linen are clean and she makes sure that they are satisfied with their stay.

After graduating from Seaside High School, she plans to attend Culinary Arts School in San Francisco. She also would like to take a course in Cosmetology at MPC then transfer to CSUMB. She would like to pursue a career as a chef traveling around the world and a makeup, nail and hair artist.
Leanne Bagood - Marina High School
dLeanne is a distinguished senior at Marina High School. She is the ASB president, co-captain of the cross country and track team, and member of the Key Club and RISE. Next year Leanne hopes to use her skills and knowledge at UCLA, majoring in Biology in a pre-med route. Due to her experience taking care of younger siblings, and her volunteering with the KEY club, she aspires to be a pediatrician. She plans to help out her community as a doctor and maybe even volunteer with the PEACE CORPS.

2017-18 Second Semester Student Board Members


Teanna Howard - Central Coast High

Teanna is currently a senior at Central Coast High School.  She has been at CCHS since the beginning of this school year.   Monterey High is my home school but s hewill be graduating from Central Coast High School this June.  

Her hobbies include reading, writing and listening to music.  Some of her favorite books include “The Iron Fey Series”. She's also the captain for the girl’s basketball travel team for Central Coast High School.  One of her favorite things to do when she has free time is to play with her little brother and help him with his homework. She also enjoys the company of her boyfriend because he is a great influence.  He is currently a student at MPC and taking classes at CSUMB.


After graduating from Central Coast High School, she plans to attend  Monterey Peninsula College in the fall.  She has an interest in Psychology so she would like to pursue a degree in Psychology or Sociology since she has a passion to learn about different things about people and how she can use a Psychology degree to help many people.


Zena Lababidi - Marina High

Zena is a senior at Marina High School. She moved to California when she was 12 years old, learning English as a second language. Zena is a member of the volleyball team, basketball team, and swimming team. She additionally is a member of many clubs on campus and is happy to have organized the S.O.S. Club, Scholars Organize for Syria.


Desi Awity - Monterey High

Desi has served in leadership for the past four years and is a member of the Sports Professions and Recreational Careers Academy as well as the Varsity track team. Desi holds a part-time job after school and volunteers as a youth soccer coach in her free time. After graduation Desi hopes to attend Sacramento State University, study criminology, and run track for the women's 4x100 team.


Janelle Rose Inductivo - Seaside High

Janelle is a senior at Seaside High. This year Janelle is the ASB Vice-President. Janelle is also President of the Key Club, Drill Team Commander and Battalion Staff Officer.


Janelle plans on attending UC Berkeley or UC San Diego in the fall entering as undeclared. When asked what she wanted to do post college she said she is not sure what she wants to do but knows that she will have a positive impact on this world.

Central Coast High School - Emily N. Feliciano

Emily Feliciano is a Senior and is entering her second year at CCHS. Emily's natural leadership abilities make her a perfect fit for this position. She is highly active in our school leadership class and has taken a lead role as a returning student in our culinary academy. After graduation, Emily hopes to attend college where she is interested in both the fields of Culinary Arts and Botany.

Marina High School - Tony Huynh

Marina High School is proud to have Tony Huynh as our new MPUSD student board representative. Tony is a senior at Marina High School and currently has a 3.77 GPA. His schedule has several AP courses, including AP calculus and AP US Government. Tony has a competitive nature and excels in sports, especially basketball. During the school day, you can find Tony participating in activities and showing school spirit. He will further his education after high school and is applying to four-year universities, including UC Irvine for his undergrad and plans on getting his masters.

Monterey High School - Lexi Singh

Lexi Singh is a senior this year and serving as MHS's ASB Vice President. Lexi plays Varsity softball for Monterey High and is involved with the Kindness Club and Latino Club. Lexi is a member of the MAOS Academy and National Honor Society. Outside of school, Lexi participates in the San Carlos Retreat Team and the Aldrete 18U Softball Club Team. After graduation, Lexi is committed to Harvey Mudd to play softball and go to school.

Seaside High School - Jannette Noriega

Jannette Noriega is a senior at Seaside High School. Jannette is the daughter of Anna Noriega. This year Jannette is the ASB President. She is also a member of Seaside High School’s marching band and is the Drum Major. She is also the co-secretary of the Seaside High School’s Surf Club. Jannette plans on attending UC Davis in the fall majoring in Applied Math.
