High School to Teacher Program

The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District (MPUSD) High School to Teacher Program (HSTT) is a pipeline development program that develops strategic partnerships to identify, cultivate, and support a cohort of high school students who reflect the cultural, linguistic, and racial diversity of MPUSD students to successfully navigate high school, matriculate and graduate from college, attend a teacher credenitalling program, and return to MPUSD to teach.

In partnership with Educators Rising the MPUSD HSTT Program engages Scholars in monthly meetings, college visits and conferences, Saturday Academy teaching, and a curriculum focused on teacher education, college access, and leadership development. The model engages students from 11th grade through college graduation.
