Monterey Peninsula Unified School District Kicks Off School Year
Back-to-School Bash, Annual Employee Kick-Off, First Day of School
Seaside, CA - The Monterey Peninsula Unified School District welcomed school site leaders and other staff back to the district this week to begin planning for the 2022-2023 school year. MPUSD’s first day of school is Wednesday, August 3, 2022. Leaders and staff participated in multiple days of professional learning activities and strategic planning, and the learning continues into next week as new teachers are on-boarded and returning teachers are welcomed back.
“This is an exciting year to welcome students, families and staff for the first time or returning to the Monterey Peninsula Unified School District. It goes without saying that the past two and a half years were not what any of us expected, but moving forward I am hopeful, energized, and eager to kick off what promises to be an outstanding year,” said PK Diffenbaugh, Superintendent, Monterey Peninsula Unified School District, in his welcome letter to families.
