Minutes:
Helen Rucker encouraged the public as well as high school students to attend the Panetta Institute Forums in Carmel at the Sunset Center.
Ruthie Watts invited the Board to the Black History Program Reception at City Hall on Sunday at 3 p.m. Mrs. Watts also invited the Board to attend the Community Partnership for Youth's Annual Hat Fashion Show on April 1st.

Minutes:
Helen Rucker expressed some concerns having an outside entity take away the use of facilities for the communities to go directly to the schools and the schools be separate from the community.
Brett McFadden clarified the District is purchasing a web based software that will help facilitate use of facilities for the communities but the overall oversight in the administration of the facility use process will be the districts and the public is still welcome to come in person to request facility use.

Dr. PK Diffenbaugh Presented. Wendy Root Askew shared that County of Monterey and the City of Salinas is also embarking on something similar with Governing for Racial Equity. Debra Gramespacher shared that Mr. Singleton spoke at the National School Board Conference and would request for Mr. Singleton to come speak to the District.
Dr. Bettye Lusk shared the State School Board is addressing equity and diversity at the May Delegate Assembly. MBTA President Allyson Schweifler applauds the district for ways in addressing inequities or view points and how to address them in the classroom. Ruthie Watts requested clarification if parents will be allowed to participate as well or just staff. Dr. PK Diffenbaugh shared depending on the outcome, the District can look at parent and student involvement.
