Minutes:
The Board APPROVED Ariane Zamudio as Human Resources Recruitment Manager for the 2016-2017 School Year. Ariane Zamudio thanked the Board and Superintendent for the opportunity.

V. PUBLIC COMMENT
Minutes:
Executive Director of Carlston Family Foundation, Timothy Allen explained the process of receiving the Teachers of America Award. Mr. Allen read some student comments for Monterey High Teacher, Gary Childs. Mr. Allen issued a $5,000 check to Mr. Childs. Mr. Gary Childs expressed his gratitude and shared he would like the funds to go to scholarships. Discussions around scholarship criterias have been taking place with Principal Marcie Plummer.
Helen Rucker shared she has been going through several months of concern for health reasons. Mrs. Rucker thanked the superintendent's Administrative Assistant Kat Ruiz for taking her to Stanford on a couple of occasions. Mrs. Rucker also thanked Superintendent Dr. PK Diffenbaugh for allowing Ms. Ruiz to take some time off. Lastly, Mrs. Rucker thanked the community for all of their support and realized through these hard times just how blessed she is to have everyone in her life and how much she needs everyone.
